35+ years of securitisation leadership

35+ years of securitisation leadership

Trusted structures and execution for issuers and investors.

Confidence in every deal

Whether you issue RMBS, ABS or CMBS - or run internal securitisation or debt-financing programs - you need more than a service provider. You need a partner who can open access to capital markets with confidence, speed and control.

For more than 35 years, Perpetual Corporate Trust has been that partner. We help Australia’s banks, non-banks, mutuals and fintechs who originate funding across deposits, wholesale markets and securitisation - backed by end-to-end execution, strong governance and deep market insight.

With one of the country’s largest specialist trustee teams, years of experience and governance frameworks strengthened by automation and digital tooling, we help issuers lift performance, meet regulatory expectations and deliver the certainty investors rely on - across every structure and every cycle.

What we do

Our trustee and security trustee services team provides the experience, governance capability and operational strength required to set up, manage and oversee complex structured finance vehicles. We support issuers with establishing trusts, administering ongoing obligations, and ensuring that all payments, reporting and asset movements are handled with precision.

We also support offshore issuance through bond safekeeping and risk-retention solutions, backed by strong controls, consistent processes and deep knowledge of securitisation and structured finance markets.

Trustee

Document accuracy and security are critical to protecting the interests of trusts and their stakeholders. We are one of the largest document custody providers to Australia’s major financial institutions.

Our state-of-the-art records management system enables flexible, secure and efficient handling of documentation - from receipt and verification through to long-term storage.

How we safeguard and manage your security documents

  • Physical and electronic custody of securities documents (Sydney & Melbourne)
  • State of the art system for tracking and managing security packets – Content Manager
  • Validation and custodian of assets to ensure enforceability – (check and balance)
  • Follow up panel solicitors for packet return and/or for corrected documentation
  • Barcode each packet and track movement within the perpetual office and externally
  • Bond safekeeping to meet risk-retention requirements for regulatory requirement

When markets shift, certainty matters. As Australia’s largest trustee and warm standby servicer, Perpetual Corporate Trust provides the operational continuity, governance discipline and fiduciary oversight needed to protect investors and keep funding structures stable.

Our warm standby model ensures we can step in to maintain collections, stabilise operations and safeguarde trust cashflows. We invest deeply in understanding each client’s servicing environment so we can act quickly, accurately and in the best interests of funders and investors.

Our trust management and accounting teams manage over $50 billion across 200+ trusts, delivering the governance, reporting and control frameworks that underpin Australia’s securitisation market. We work across RMBS, ABS, trade receivables, credit cards, personal loans and emerging asset classes, supporting issuers of all sizes- from major institutions to fast-growing non-banks.

Perpetual Corporate Trust has been the leading repository of Australian securitisation data since the 1990s.  With around 85% of the securitisation market using our Reserve Bank of Australia repo-eligibility reporting service, our data repository contains a broad and standardised dataset across major banks, regional banks and non-banks. The RBA validated data, particularly the RMBS borrower loan-level data, is distributed to rating agencies, regulators, investors and market data platforms. This data is also published to the Perpetual Intelligence SaaS platform where users can access a decade of loan and note data via intuitive analytics, visual dashboards and drill-down capability.

Enterprise-grade data services, built for regulated markets

From pioneering securitisation to powering Australia’s digital future

From the early days of Australian securitisation to today’s sophisticated market, Perpetual Corporate Trust has driven progress through sustained investment in people, technology, process innovation and cyber security. More than 25 years of industry-specific digital delivery led to the creation of Perpetual Digital and the evolution of Perpetual Intelligence - already supporting the securitisation market through established SaaS products and specialist services.

As the platform continues to evolve, Perpetual Intelligence is designed to extend beyond securitisation, revealing new capabilities over time. It is intended to enable clients to activate relevant modules as they become available and - where appropriate - to connect with trusted third-party solutions through a governed, auditable experience.
